Ship the version that proves the idea
MVP development is building the smallest working version of a product that can validate the core assumption with real users. Not a prototype and not a demo: a deployed application with real data, real auth and real payments where those matter. A focused MVP takes six to ten weeks.
Who this is for
You probably need this if…
If none of these sound familiar, you may not need us yet, and we would rather say so now.
You have been describing the product for four months and nobody has used it.
The spec has grown to 60 features and none of them are built.
A no code prototype hit its ceiling and now it cannot do the one thing that matters.
An investor wants to see it working, not see the deck again.
Your technical cofounder search has taken longer than building it would have.
Scope
What's included in mvp development
Every item below is a deliverable with an owner and a date, not a capability we happen to have.
- 01
Scope negotiation
We cut the feature list to what tests the core assumption. This is the part that saves the budget, and it is the part most agencies skip because arguing is uncomfortable.
- 02
Working application
Deployed, on your infrastructure, with authentication, a real database and the integrations the product genuinely depends on.
- 03
Production stack
Next.js, TypeScript and Postgres by default. Boring, hireable technology, so your next developer is not a specialist search.
- 04
Payments and accounts
Stripe, subscription logic and customer accounts wired properly where the model needs them, rather than faked for the demo.
- 05
Analytics from day one
Event tracking on the actions that answer your question, because an MVP that ships without measurement has not tested anything.
- 06
Handover
Source in your repository, infrastructure in your accounts, and documentation covering deploys, environment variables and the known shortcuts.
Process
How a mvp development project runs
6 stages over 6 to 10 weeks. You get a written plan before stage one, and a named owner on our side throughout.
Assumption mapping
Week 1We write down what the product assumes and which assumption is most likely to kill it. That assumption becomes the MVP, everything else waits.
Flows and data model
Week 1The two or three user flows that carry the test, plus the schema underneath. Design comes after this, not before.
Build in the open
Weeks 2 to 8Weekly deploys to a staging URL you can click through. No four week silence followed by a reveal.
Instrumentation
Week 8Analytics, error tracking and whatever measurement your assumption needs, wired before launch rather than after.
Launch
Week 9Production deploy on your accounts, domain configured, and a runbook for your team.
First iteration
Weeks 9 to 10Two weeks of included changes once real users hit it, because the first week of real usage always finds something.

Timeline and cost
MVP Development starts at $18,000 and typically takes 6 to 10 weeks. Includes analytics, deployment and two weeks of post launch iteration.
That figure is a starting point, not an estimate we revise upward later. The first week of every engagement is a scoping week that ends with a fixed fee and a fixed date. If the scope turns out to be smaller than we assumed, the fee goes down.
We do not bill by the hour for project work. Hourly billing pays us to be slow, and it makes your budget a function of our efficiency rather than of your requirements.
FAQ
MVP development questions
Direct answers. If yours is not here, ask us and we will add it.
How much does MVP development cost?
A focused MVP runs $18,000 to $45,000 depending on how many user roles, integrations and payment flows it needs. Below that figure you are buying a prototype, which is a legitimate thing to buy but will not survive real users. The scoping week produces a fixed number before you commit.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
Six to ten weeks for a single audience product with one core flow. Two sided marketplaces, heavy integrations or regulated data push it to twelve to sixteen. The timeline is set in week one by how ruthlessly we can cut the feature list, not by how fast anyone types.
What technology do you build on?
Next.js and TypeScript on the front end, Postgres for data, and Vercel or AWS for hosting. Deliberately mainstream: the goal is that any competent developer can pick it up, so you are never locked into us by an exotic stack choice.
Do I own the code?
Completely, on final payment. Source goes to your repository as we write it, infrastructure runs under your accounts and your billing, and nothing is licensed back to you. An agency that is hard to leave is not a partner.
What if I need changes after launch?
Two weeks of iteration are included. After that we either hand off cleanly to your own developer with documentation, or continue on a monthly retainer. Roughly half of MVP clients take the first option, which is the outcome we design for.
